Red Tour

We meet the guide and driver at the hotel and start exploring the unique landscape of Cappadocia; our first stop is Göreme Open Air Museum, the most important point of the Cappadocia Region, where we witness the living art of Christian and Byzantine history in cave churches. Then we go to Çavuşin, an old Greek village, to discover the civil architecture in Cappadocia. We have lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos, the centre of terracotta art since 2000 BC.

After lunch we drive to Paşabağı or ‘Valley of the Monks’ to see the fascinating mushroom-shaped peaks. Then we go to Devrent (Dream Valley) to see fairy chimneys of different shapes. Visit the natural rock castle in Uchisar before returning to the hotel.


Green Tour
 

Depart your hotel for the Cappadocia Underground City to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by the early Christians. From the Underground City continue along the Melendiz River to the beautiful Ihlara valley, the ancient Peristerema: ‘Valley of the Sky’. Explore the famous rock churches and hike 4 km along the valley. On the way back visit Selime Monastery, on the way back visit Güvercinlik Valley.

Blue Tour
 

Blue Cruise Starting from your hotel at 9:00am, we drive to Mustafapasa, famous for its beautiful architecture; Mustafapasa was one of the largest Greek towns in Cappadocia until the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in 1924. Our next stop is Keşlik Monastery, which has one of the rare iconoclastic examples of Cappadocian frescoes. Then we will go to the Sobessos Excavation site, archaeologists have recently (in the last 10 years) started excavations at this site. From there we continue to the Soğanlı Valley. Soganli was once the third largest monastic centre in the region and was home to many cave churches and a beautiful walking valley. We have lunch before we start hiking in the Soğanlı Valley. After our lunch and afternoon walk in the Soğanlı Valley, we will head to Kaymaklı Underground City.
